Forecourt Store Audit - Case Study

The H2 Group own and operate a network of award winning Esso Spar Service Stations and Spar Convenience Stores across Ireland. Working with a number of carefully selected partners including Spar, Aryzta, Seattles's Best Coffee and Apache Pizza the company provides customers with a unique and convenient forecourt experience.

Developing new sites and improving underperforming retail forecourt operations, the H2 Group has won numerous industry awards over the past 10 years. Recently announced as a winner of the Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards, the group currently employ over 180 people nationwide.

The ChallengeForecourt Retail Store Audit Checklist

With a mission to provide the best convenience stores and service stations in Ireland, the H2Group wanted a paperless audit / checklist system which could help them drive improvements and consistency in store presentation across the group. The new system needed to centrally monitor, measure and report on store standards, service, product offering, promotions, marketing and compliance.

The Solution - Digital & Mobile Store Audits

To drive consistency, improve company standards and to reduce the administrative burden of paper based checklists, H2 Group turned to BrandM8's digital checklist system for help.

Central Management - BrandM8 is a cloud based intelligent checklist system which allows the user to take all paper-based checks and create intelligent digital checklists that can be centrally managed and deployed to all major mobile platforms.

BrandM8 undertook the following activities to assist H2 Group with their digital record keeping, auditing and reporting.

  • Collated the paper based forms into digital checklists and audits
  • Deployed the H2Group web portal for access to a library of digital checklists and reports
  • Published digital checklists to the BrandM8 App, allowing staff to complete checks on an iPad or IOS device.
  • Automated the reporting process so HQ automatically receive scored compliance reports as soon as they are complete

The Benefits

Central Reporting - BrandM8 centrally manages all information relating to the checklists for reporting and analysis of the completed reviews. The management and data capture of in-store reviews is easy and accurate, providing rich anaylsis of the data that has been collected.

Mobile - The BrandM8 App runs on a mobile device and can hold a 'manual' of checklists that can be used in-store or by the management teams who visit stores.
